At 6:45 a.m. this morning along Interstate 790, two tractor trailers collided and started a chain reaction accident. Along with those already involved in the accident two more tractor trailers and fourteen cars were damaged in the crash.
All those involved in the accident two were killed and four people had life threatening injuries. Two of those people were taken by ambulances and the others were taken by Life Flight to Statesville about 50 miles away.
As of right now the city’s Police Department is not sure how the accident occurred and they will let the public know as soon as they are done investigating. So far they believe that the two tractor trailers collided.
So far there are no files against anyone involved in this accident.
Fire chief Tony Sullivan stated “the crash scene looked like a war zone when he arrived.” There were bodies lying all along the road and people covered with blood. One of the toughest for the police and fire department was when the workers had to run from car to car to help those that were hurt. Another bad thing was the emergency workers had a hard time deciding who was driving and who the passengers were and which vehicles belonged to whom. Chief Sullivan also stated “this is the worst accident he has seen in the 18 years.” He has been with the fire department for that long.
The accident happened in the northbound lanes which ended up closing both lanes of the interstate. At time of this publication the interstate was still closed. This caused a major mess for rush hour and all traffic had to be detoured to Interstate 690 on the other side of town which in return backed up traffic on that interstate for three hours.

Do's and Don'ts
When it comes to leads all I have to say is that it is hard to decide what should be written for the lead. Like I've stated to others is that what I feel is important may not be important to others or what is needed for a lead.
For the do's I feel that you need only the information that will catch peoples eyes and get there attention. Just get the main facts in the lead and leave the rest for the article.
Don'ts for leads are don't make it to long so you don't catch the eye of the person

Pawlenty seizes on breath analyer to combat drunk driving
A proposal to make tougher DWI laws is now heading to house for approval. Gov. Pawlenty wants to see tougher DWI laws in involve a breath analyer system in vehicles that would be contected to ignition system. Drunk drivers that have been convicted for a second or third time would have to this system install that there expense if they would like to be able to drive and not lose their license like before. This system would be a good way to widen the Drunk Driving laws and hopefully cut back on drunk driving repets and deaths in the state.

Viking Prayer
Our Favre-ther who art in Mississippi, hallowed be thy name. Thy bowl will come, it will be won, in Miami as it is in the Dome. Give us this Sunday, our weekly win. Give us touchdown passes, but do not let others pass against us. Lead us not into frustration, but deliver us to the Super Bowl. For thine.....is the MVP,the best of the NFC, and the glory of the Purple People Eaters, now and forever. Amen!

Introduction to Kristin Stavrum
My name is Kristin Stavrum and as you can tell so far my favorite color is pink!! Since I got that out of the way let me tell you alittle about myself.
I was born and raised in St. Cloud. I moved over to this area nine years ago when I met my boyfriend Tom. When people ask how we met I always get a weird reaction. We met in a yahoo chat room when I answered his ad, "Any single females." We have been together ever since.
I currently work at the information desk at the Cambridge Campus as a student worker and in the summer I help Tom with his bicycle job.
We have two black labs names Dale and Jeff. They are my children! We also have some cats named Scruffy, Anakin, Callie, and Gemmi.
I'm going to school for my AAS in Office Technology and plan to come back for the Human Resource program we are getting.
